As NASA chief, Mike Griffin led the agency to his Constellation architecture. Now as AIAA chief he is leading the organization to his views on exploration policy: AIAA space exploration panel raises a few hackles - Space Politics.

As he would explain it, all "good engineers" would have backed a Constellation style approach anyway so there was no need for a competition. Similarly, all good AIAA members know what the best space exploration policy is so there is no need for competing views on discussion panels.
