Scientists have begun their most sensitive ever search for a possible Dark Matter candidate called the Axion. Gamma rays are the most energetic forms of electromagnetic radiation and are emitted by some of the most powerful events in the universe. Now, a team of astronomers have published 14 papers in a special issue of the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics covering some fifteen years of gamma ray observations of the Milky Way.
