When construction finished on the Very Large Array in 1980, it became the most powerful radio observatory in the world. For the past four decades, the VLA has changed the way we see the universe, revealing more of our amazing universe. The VLA continues to teach us about the radio sky, and helps astronomers answer some of the deepest mysteries in astronomy.
