IAF Delegation at the 56th Session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, Austria, Vienna – 18 February 2019 promoting upcoming events and activities
The growing membership of the IAF is evidence of the increasing importance the international community attaches to cooperation in outer space affairs and the legitimacy of the Federation as key forum for international cooperation between space actors. Today, the Federation is the world’s leading space advocacy body with 366 corporate members on 6 continents and 68 countries. The IAF, with its international character, collaborates with all Space Agencies, International Organizations, International Institutions, Industries, Universities and Research Organizations to bring benefit to its Members.
Following its theme “A space-faring world cooperating for the benefit of humanity” and its motto “Connecting @ll Space People”, the Federation provides a platform for organizations, communities and individuals, active and enthusiastic about space, to meet, share knowledge and experience, and connect with each other on neutral grounds and in cooperative spirit. As expanding space policies call for more global collaboration, and with more organizations looking to expand their networks, the IAF efforts in the international space community are increasingly critical.
The International Astronautical Congress is one of the world’s most exciting, diverse and rewarding professional meetings, and the IAF has a remarkable history of successful and productive annual congresses since the beginning of the space age.
