In 2018, the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) partnered with the SpaceOps Organization (SpaceOps) to provide Secretariat Services in the preparation of its biennial SpaceOps Conference. We are pleased to inform you that the official websites for the SpaceOps Organization and the SpaceOps 2020 Conference are now online!
The SpaceOps Organization (formally the International Committee On Technical Interchange For Space Mission Operations And Ground Data Systems) was established to foster a continuous interchange on all aspects of space mission operations and ground systems, and to promote and maintain an international community of space operations domain experts. The SpaceOps Organization was formed in 1990 by representatives of the major world space agencies and is open to space industry and academia representatives. The main objective of the organization is to monitor the evolution in all major fields of space operations, including unmanned and manned missions and embracing space missions from near Earth to Deep Space. The 16th SpaceOps 2020 Conference will take place in Cape Town, South Africa on 18-22 May 2020, and will be hosted by the South African National Space Agency (SANSA).
This Conference will be held for the first time on the African continent, in the multicultural melting pot of South Africa. South Africa is rapidly taking its place amongst the scientific destinations of choice with the science and technology innovations & research it undertakes on a global scale.
