PARALLEL PREPARATIONS CONTINUE FOR UPCOMING ARIANE 5 FLIGHTS

Launch activity is in full swing at French Guiana as preparations move forward for Ariane 5's first two missions in 2010. The year's first heavy-lift launch campaign - which will the ASTRA 3B and COMSATBw-2 satellites on March 24 - reached a new milestone this week with the start-up of payload integration. In parallel, this week also saw arrival of the initial passenger for Ariane 5's no. 2 mission this year: Arabsat 5A.
