ESA tests self-steering rover in Mars desert

After six months of intense work, a top engineering team assembled by the European Space Agency has devised a way for rovers to navigate on alien planets. A recent test of the Seeker full-scale rover demonstrated how the fully autonomous vehicle could chart its own course through Chile's Mars-like Atacama desert.
