Last week’s image of the week (delayed as it is), is the final launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery from NASA’s Kenedy Space centre on February 24th 2011.
It marks the 133rd shuttle mission and the 35th mission to the International Space Station.
This mission will install the install the Permanent Multipurpose Module and the Express Logistics Carrier 4 whist delivering spare parts and making general repairs to the station.
Discovery is also carrying ”Robonaut 2″, the first robot capable of prefeorming complicated tasks in space.
