On September 15-16, 2010. Jupiter Rises At 19:34 EDT / 23:34 UTC And Has A Magnitude Of -2.92. Io's Shadow Starts To Transit The Planet's Face Early On, Followed By Io It's Self. A Few Hours Later The Transit Will End Just Before Midnight. We Will Get To See The Great Red Spot Transit From Start To Finish. But You Will Need To Stay Up Late To Do So.On September 16-17, 2010. Jupiter Rises At 19:30 EDT / 23:30 UTC And Has A Magnitude Of -2.92. Just Over An Hour And one Half The Moon Io Will End Being Occulted By Jupiter. We Will Get To See The Great Red Spot Transit From Start To Finish Early On. The Great Red Spot's Mid-Transit Time Is 21:16 EDT / 01:16 UTC On September 16, 2010.
