On September 5-6, 2010, Jupiter Rises At 20:17 EDT / 00:17 UTC And Has A Magnitude Of -2.91. There Will Be Two Moons Being Eclipsed Tonight. The First One Will Be Europa That Will Start Little Over Hour & Half After The Planet Rises. The 2ND One To Be Eclipsed Is Io That Starts Early In The Morning. Also If You Stay Up Late Or Get Up Early Then You Can Watch The Great Red Spot Transit From Start To Finish.On September 6-7, 2010, Jupiter Rises At 20:12 EDT / 00:12 UTC And Has A Magnitude Of -2.91. We Will Get To See The Great Red Spot Transit From Start To Finish And With Mid-Transit Coming At 23:02 EDT / 03:02 UTC. Io's Shadow Will Start To Transit The Face Of Jupiter & Then Followed By Io It Self. Then Just Before Sunrise The Moon Ganymede Will Go Into Eclipse.
