The 2010 Commercial and Government Responsive Access to Space Technology Exchange (CRASTE) will be held 25 – 28 October at the Moffett Training and Conference Center in the NASA Research Park, Moffett Field, California. The focus of this year’s event is our nation’s investment in low-cost, reliable, and frequent access to space and the implementation strategies needed to meet national low-cost and reliable space access needs over the next decade.
While some key technologies necessary for low-cost and reliable space access are on the shelf or close to maturity, new system development and affordability remain obstacles to fully and frequently utilizing space to meet commercial, military and civil space requirements and desires. CRASTE 2010 will bring together national leaders to articulate the necessary solutions to these challenges. CRASTE participants will include decision makers who invest in these endeavors, current and potential government and research users of low-cost access to space services, commercial space service providers, technologists, and systems experts.
Building on the information that CRASTE participants provide during the event, the goal is to develop the content of a technology and systems development portfolio and to draft a joint plan and proposal that leads to demonstration of low-cost access ...
