Welcome to those of you that listened to the 365 Days of Astronomy podcast on adaptive opitcs (AO). Please look around, peruse the archives, leave a comment on your favorite post, etc.
Adaptive optics is a complex subject and the information on the web is geared more toward professional astronomers. However, there are some good links you can use to find more information.
The Center For Adaptive Optics at the University of California- Santa Cruz is one of the leading institutions in adaptive optics reasearch. CFAO has a nice gallery of images showing the power of adaptive optics. The Gemini Observatory has a nice adaptive optics page and image gallery as well. The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope has a best of image gallery as well.
And I have to point out some amazing images using a retinal camera equipped with AO.
