New boys appointed to head up Boeing and Lockheed Martin’s commercial space operations

New executives have been hired to hire up two major commercial space organisations in USA. As Stephen T. O’Neill retires as President of Boeing’s commercial satellite division as part of its Boeing Space & Intelligence business. He is being replaced by Jim Simpson who comes from the firm’s Business Development Division. Meanwhile at Lockheed Martin Space System’s Commercial Ventures retired US Air Force Lt Gen Mike Hamell who has previously headed the US Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center and was Vice President of Corporate Stategy at Orbital Sciences Corp, replaces Linda Reiners as President. Reiners has been promoted to the firm’s Corporate Ventures operation.
