I just had to get up for a look. This morning any dark spot on Jupiter left from Monday’s potential impact directly faced my town at about 4 a.m. Before the neighborhood rooster started to crow, I had the 10-inch reflector up and pointed at Jupiter. The air was fluttery and unsteady but there were occasional moments when the planet sharpened up at 212x. Nothing obvious was visible, nor has there been a “spot” sighting in photographs taken this morning. That doesn’t mean an impact didn’t happen; maybe the scar hasn’t grown big enough to see yet.
