Finally got to Santa Clara and get logged in. The conference starts in the morning. Saw some familiar faces in the lobby.
Got a message that tomorrow at noon, "Armadillo Aerospace will be making a significant announcement". Perhaps they have gotten a license for a launch of their big next-gen Stiga rocket. They want to carry a paying payload so they need an actual commercial launch license rather than a permit. Neil Milburn of Armadillo said at the Houston commercial space panel that the application was moving through the FAA system quite quickly.
I saw today that Ben Brockert has left Armadillo. He previously was with Masten Space. He posted the following two items today on Twitter:
/-- "Into the third week of my post-Armadillo life, going well so far. Looking froward to chatting with interesting people at the NewSpace BPC."
/-- "I'm pursuing my own entrepreneurial trajectory. I'll definitely be sharing more as I figure out exactly what I'm doing. :-)"
