A Russian Progress vehicle failed a test at the ISS of a new automated docking system. The Progress had been docked and unloaded already and had detached from the station to attempt the test. With the Japanese HTV cargo vessel approaching, the Progress will remain at a safe distance from the ISS till at least Saturday before trying the docking again:
