ANTONY RYAN - Castaway Scientist

Ever since we connected over 'Kissing Numbers' and I created Stargazy Island, I have been eager to shipwreck Antony. To this end I have badgered him to come and join the diverse group already working in the Astronomy and Science Complex on Stargazy Island.He is going to be a great asset to the Science community and besides he is brilliant to talk to about all things Scientific. (perhaps we could have a cinema as I am a huge 'Goonies' fan too)1. How did you get inspired to take up Astronomy or Science?When my father showed me how to wire my first electrical circuit, explaining the difference between series and parallel, I became interested in science. Astronomy wise my mother took me to view Haley's comet, during a publicised Astro club meeting.2.When did you get your first piece of Astronomy or Scientific equipment and what was it ?My first telescope was are really cheap child's toy when I was 6 and in hindsight a good pair of binoculars would've been much more useful, but the moon looked beautiful even through this.
