SWF
Washington Office Director Victoria Samson participated in a
workshop run by the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies
(RSIS) in Singapore on Feb. 24, 2012, called "The New Indian
Military-II." She presented her paper, "Missile Defense, Space
Security, and Changing Priorities for the Indian Military in
Space." In her presentation, she argued that India's evolving
position on space to include more military capacities and utilizing
space for national security means can have long-term effects on the
Asia-Pacific region, including spurring on an Asian space race.
