How did you get inspired to take up Astronomy or Science? I was lucky to have a great teacher who noticed that Halleys Comet was coming and based all her lessons around space. Met Patrick Moore at the same time and been hooked ever since.2. When did you get your first piece of Astronomy equipment and what was it?My first astro 'thing' was a little book on Halley's Comet I saved up for and still have. Then it was a pair of binoculars and a Planisphere, both of which I still use.3. What was the first thing you identified other than the Moon?I remember drawing M45 from my parents back garden and discovering Jupiter had moons I could see, very exciting!4. What is the most exciting astronomical experience you have had to date?Tough one! Hard to beat Saturn in a telescope for the first time, seeing a fireball, finding a faint planetary nebula like NGC7662...but I'm a moon man at heart, finding and drawing Crater Einstein was pretty special.5.
