Author and journalist Michael Belfiore -- an expert in both space exploration and major prize competitions -- visited the Astrobotic facilities in Pittsburgh this spring. For an article about Astrobotic’s bid in the Google Lunar X PRIZE for Scientific American magazine, he interviewed team members and observed ongoing work in the high bay and a field test at Robot City. The article will be published this fall.
During the visit, the team turned the tables and interviewed Mr. Belfiore. In the video below, he discusses his evaluation of Astrobotic, the impact of the X PRIZE, and the future of commercial space.
