August 1, 2011. Here is the data and charts for Jupiter and the Galilean moons for this morning. On this morning Jupiter and the Galilean moons will be at Western quadrature that is Jupiter is 90° West of the Sun. We will also get to see the Moon Io 14 seconds of arc at position angle 338°from the Moon Europa. Also we'll get to see the great red spot transit from start to finish across Jupiter's face. Mid-transit will take place at 01:41 EDT / 05:41 UTC.There will be no events between Jupiter and the Galilean moons for this morning.August 2, 2011.
