On May 24, 2011, NASA announced what they called a "key decision" for the next deep space transportation system. Remember Orion, the crew capsule portion of the cancelled Constellation program? It's back. Lockheed Martin will continue development of the capsule, and it has a new, less exciting name: the MPCV, or Multi-purpose Crew Vehicle. The specs haven't changed; the MPCV has about 9 cubic meters of habitable space, and can support ....
